Twilight fans have seen Eclipse at the movies, but now we want the Eclipse dvd!!
Whilst no official date has yet been made, we can certainly get a good idea by going by when the last two Twilight films were released. The big question on the lips of Twilight Eclipse fans is ‘when will the Eclipse dvd release date be?’

Both the Twilight and New Moon Dvds were released 120 days after being released in the cinemas. So we can presume that the Eclipse dvd release date will also be around 120 days later – approximately Saturday, 23rd or 30th October perhaps? We shall keep you posted when we find out when we can pre order Eclipse dvd.

While we await the Eclipse DVD release date, we cannot escape wondering if it will manage to repeat the incredible success of the previous parts of the saga? Twilight, the first part of the series, sold almost 10 million copies worldwide, 3 million of which on the opening day. Total DVD earnings of Twilight grossed more than 180 million dollars. New Moon, the second part of the Twilight Saga will probably be even more successful, judging by the first week of sales. The DVD was released on March 20th and in the first weekend sold 4 million units, beating the Twilights 3.8 millions copies in the first two days. Estimates say that New Moon will earn over 200 million from the DVD release. Quite possibly the Eclipse Dvd release will beat that record.
When Stephenie Meyer first wrote the book Twilight, nobody could have guessed what huge success the series would be. The books and later the movies became global phenomenon and won numerous awards. The way Meyer writes about love between a human girl and a vampire is particularly appealing to young adults and female readers, who were also the majority of the movie going audience for the first two movies.
While retaining the original love triangle story between Bella, Edward and Jacob, the Eclipse Dvd release will also focus on action elements. The first two movies were primarily a love story and some fans complained that they appeal more to the female auditorium. In an effort to rectify this, Eclipse director David Slade included more action scenes, including the epic vampire vs. Werewolf battle.
According to Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen in all three movies, Eclipse is an action movie for guys. The big fight scene where Victoria’s newborn army fights against the Cullen coven and Jacob’s werewolf pack is one of the main selling points of the movie.
The story follows Bella’s struggle to preserve her relations with both Edward and Jacob. Considering how they feel about her, this can prove to be not the easiest task. She also has to protect herself against Victoria, who is looking for revenge for the death of her lover in Twilight.
She has been patiently building her strength and awaiting the right moment to strike. Only an alliance of Edward and Jacob could have any hope in stopping her.
The Eclipse Dvd release will have a somewhat altered cast compared to earlier chapters of the saga. Although the main roles remained the same, with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner as Bella, Edward and Jacob, Eclipse villain, Victoria, is now played by Bryce Dallas Howard, who replaced Rachelle Lefevre. As a reason for this change, Summit Entertainment claimed scheduling conflict. The rest of the characters are pretty much the same.
The producers of the Twilight Saga announced that they have obtained the movie rights for the fourth book of the series, Breaking Dawn. At the moment, it is still unclear when the shooting will begin, we only know that it will be some time in 2010, but the studio is firmly committed to adding another title to this popular franchise.

Many fans of this series are wondering if there will be more novels and films created from the current works already published. Currently, fans are blogging online about the possibility that the remaining Twilight novel, Breaking Dawn, will be adapted into two films.
Some big movie studios are dividing popular fiction novels into more than one film. The Harry Potter series is another recent example of this. Quite possibly the most profitable movie franchise ever adapted from literature, the remaining Harry Potter novel is scheduled to be released as two films. By translating these novels into big epic movies, the movie industry can potentially capitalize on the link its largest customer base has with the characters.
The film industry has many movie franchises. They are not all based on previously written material. Star Trek is a film franchises that has been going for many years. Just last year, Hollywood released a new film in the series that portrays many popular characters of the series in their younger years. Hollywood is profiting greatly from the reinvention of this older franchise. Based on recent announcements, such as comic book movie sequels, the movie industry could stand to make a lot of money. The recent Star Trek film has made a lot of money and created a renewed interest in this franchise. The dvd’s and merchandise also create great money streams (the eclipse dvd release date is not yet known).
As a business, a movie studio is faced with solving the problem of how to increase profits and create future business for the company. Currently, the Twilight movies that have come out have proved successful business decisions. Regardless of whether or not the last films being produced are successful, the novels have many other characters and subplots Hollywood can turn into epic movies.
Social networking sites show a steady increase in the number of Twilight fans. Star Trek fans have been showing up at conventions for years to connect with other fans and celebrate the movies. Many websites are already in place that demonstrate the size of Twilight’s fan club. The popular saga has its very own convention that is currently on tour in the United States. While we wait for the Eclipse dvd release date, Breaking Dawn is also on our minds. The fourth and last installment in the Twilight Saga, based on the four novels by Stephenie Meyer; the film is rumored to debut in American theaters in 2011 sometime. The greatly anticipated film will bring the story to an end and bring closure to all who have watched Edward, Bella, Jacob and the remaining characters in their respective clans and packs whose tales became intertwined throughout previous films.
Following the expected route which the first three films have already taken, Breaking Dawn is going to be completed by a new director. The other directors were Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Chris Weitz (New Moon), and David Slade (Eclipse). It would be difficult to guess that it wasn’t the same director for all the films; the final outcome has been seamless thus far. The director who is at the top of the list is Bill Condon; his most well-known previous work is the 2006 musical film Dreamgirls.
Although Condon is expected to be the director, directors Gus Van Sant and Sofia Coppola have also been approached about the possibility; there still hasn’t been one to officially step forward and accept. The major stars created out of the saga, Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson, or Bella and Edward, personally would enjoy working with Van Sant.
The cast list in Breaking Dawn remains, for now, the same as prior films. There has only been one casting problem to occur, and it was with the vampire hunter Victoria; a new actress from the first two installments played the character in Eclipse (the eclipse dvd release date is not yet known). This character, however, won’t be needed in the last fourth of the plot.
One of the major questions that remains unanswered at the moment is whether or not the movie will be split into two and also when the Eclipse dvd release date will be. The extremely popular Harry Potter is using this tactic in the last film, making the seven book series into eight movies. Since this imperative question doesn’t have an answer yet, the creation process is at a halt. If this means something of importance, a majority of the actors, and even Stephenie Meyer herself, hope that it will become two films. Being the longest book in the saga, there will be a lot of information to cover in Breaking Dawn.
A smaller question and concern is whether or not the film will be released in 3-D theaters. There has no doubt been a recent trend for the effect in adventure movies, and it would add to the fight scenes. The actors who have voiced their opinion on the matter are not quite as enthusiastic about the possibility. We may have to wait for the Eclipse dvd release date to find out more about the dvd formats.
Since the length of time between New Moon and Eclipse being released was only seven months, people are starting to wonder whether Breaking Dawn will fall behind. While all the other Twilight movies have been ahead in production, the fourth hasn’t even begun; the one or two decisions that are left to be made are major enough to keep the filming from pressing forward.
While the first third of the saga has come out fast enough to keep screaming fans anticipating what’s still to come, the lack of focus on the fourth movie is making the public a bit worrisome. Both the Twilight books and films have a wide-spread and devout fan-base. The next thing we are waiting for is the Twilight Eclipse dvd release date. Because these fans exist, the anticipation levels for Breaking Dawn remain high as people await the ending to a beloved story.

Twilight Saga: Eclipse will find all of the stars that we love to love and love to hate coming together to give us another great story about life, love, and desire in the deep forest surrounding Forks, Washington.
If you have already gotten ahold of the book, you have a pretty good idea of the kind of action, romance, and drama that will be coming to the big screen. But! If you haven’t gotten the book yet, and don’t know what to expect, we won’t ruin it for you here. We’ll just give you a tiny drop of what you can expect to see when you watch the Eclipse dvd release.
This third installment of the series starts with a series of brutal, bloody murders. Bella is somehow involved, but no one can be sure of how or why she is being stalked and toyed with as a lethal creature begins to emerge.
